Our Committees

Glebe Housing Association’s governance structure is supported by two committees that report to the GHA Board: the Audit and Risk Committee and the Governance and People Committee.

The Audit and Risk Management Committee (ARC) has been established by the Board to consider the work and outputs of the external and internal audit functions and the overall risk environment of the organisation.

The Governance and People Committee (GPC) oversees Glebe Housing Association’s governance framework, regulatory compliance, Board and committee effectiveness, succession planning, executive appointments, remuneration and approving strategic HR policies.

Both committees are accountable to the Board for the fulfilment of the responsibilities delegated to them and to report back their recommendations to the Board.

All our Board and Committee Members are volunteers appointed to bring specific expertise to the Association. Appointments to the governance structure are based on the knowledge and skills that individuals can bring to the overall mix.

Alongside these two committees, our Resident Panel works closely with the management team to represent the views, interests and concerns of residents living at Bencurtis Park. The Panel provides an important link between residents and management, helping to ensure that our residents’ voices are heard and considered in decisions affecting the community.
