Board of Management
Members of the Management Board are all volunteers who give their time freely to ensure the Association is well governed and remains financially viable. Members have a close interest in the activities of the Association and this is reflected in the friendly and caring atmosphere permeating throughout the organisation. The Board are determined that Glebe Housing continues with the same philosophy in the future.
Aida Abou-Rahme (Appointed 2016)
Aida graduated from University College London with a degree in Civil Engineering and started out her career in this field. After some time in construction, public sector and consulting Aida moved to pursue a career in Financial Services and has been working for Morgan Stanley for the past 11 years, currently as the Head of Firm Recovery and Resolution.
Aida has experience across a wide range of areas including regulatory change management, operational strategy development, process design and re-engineering, strategic resourcing and organisational efficiency.

Daniel Blake (Appointed 2015)
Dan grew up and went to school locally to Bencurtis Park. Post-university he attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst to conduct Army officer training. Upon graduation Dan joined the Coldstream Guards and saw active service in Iraq during 2005. Dan left at the end of his short service commission and decided to move back to London to pursue a career in financial services. Dan now works as a Software Manager.
Dan’s work experience has been broad and has included sales, customer service, project management, risk, governance and control. He has also had a number of interactions with various regulatory bodies.
As ex-Chair Dan is committed to ensuring Glebe Housing Association continues to thrive and meet the complex challenges of today’s ever changing political and regulatory environment.

Gordon Coates (Appointed 2015)
Gordon moved into Bencurtis Park in 2012 and has since played an active part in the community. In addition to being a board member Gordon acts as a resident representative for Willis Court, is on the Friends Committee and Chairs the Resident’s Panel, which ensures Glebe residents have their voices heard.

Susan Daniels (Appointed 2016)
Sue has been Chief Executive of Bexley Community Housing Association, a smaller, community-focused housing association in Kent, since 2013. She has worked as a senior executive for more than thirty years in both housing associations and local authorities with a background is in homelessness, service delivery and governance. Sue currently sits on the g320 Executive Committee. The g320 represents small housing associations across London with up to 2,500 homes.

Helen Martin (den Held) (Appointed 2016)
At the age of eight Helen emigrated from Scotland, with her parents to South Africa, where she completed a degree in sales and marketing and communications. In the early nineties Helen immigrated to the Netherlands where she worked in marketing and communications for many large professional and financial services organisations.
Whilst working for Deloitte in the Netherlands Helen founded the Fair Chance Foundation, which still focuses on raising funds, working with third parties and offering time to mentor school children from lesser privileged areas of the Netherlands. As the director of the foundation, Helen paired charities with relevant people in her network to offer advice and counsel.

Patricia Michael-Forrester (Appointed 2019)
Patricia is a housing litigation lawyer for West Kent Housing Association.
Michael Rourke (Appointed 2016)
Michael is a member of the Royal institution of Chartered Surveyors and has worked in the construction industry for over 40 years.
He is currently the Director of Development and Sales for a London Registered Provider and has worked in the social housing sector for the past 5 years.

James Smith (Appointed 2020)
James grew up in West Wickham training as a chartered accountant with a firm in Bromley. His first professional involvement with Glebe was as one of the Association’s auditors in the late 1980s. James re-joined the Board in 2020 having taken early retirement from a commercial role in the rail industry.

David Walker (Appointed 2016)
David is originally from Ripon in North Yorkshire and studied Town Planning at Newcastle University, graduating with a First-class degree in 1999. After which he moved to London and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC within their Banking & Capital markets division, before spending 8 years working with a variety of Corporate Finance roles at Deutsche Bank. David is Head of Investor Relations at British Land PLC where David is responsible for all aspects of stakeholder communications and manages corporate development projects such as acquisitions, debt refinancing or the development of the Group’s strategy.
Since 2013 David has served as a Board Director of the Investor Relations Society, the representative body for his profession in the UK, where he also Chairs the Corporate Affairs committee and in July was elected Deputy Chair.
