Glebe Housing Association is a long-established charity based in Bromley/Kent borders. We provide supported housing for older adults in the West Wickham area and to deliver our services we recruit people who are committed, proactive and passionate about providing the best possible services to the residents in our community. We run a retirement community on our 13-acre landscaped site of 208 sheltered housing units and have a team of 22 staff working with us.

Maintenance Repairs Scheduler

Salary © £30k 
Hours 35 hours per week
Location – BR4 9QD (Fully office based)

Based within our offices in Bencurtis Park, West Wickham, working independently and with minimal supervision, you will provide a high quality first point of contact for residents, visitors and callers contacting or visiting the Association. Dealing with a broad range of day to day enquiries, and repairs enquiries from residents, family members and contractors, you will deliver an efficient repair service, maintain records and databases accordingly. You will have lead responsibility for processing all residential property repairs, grounds maintenance, service contracts and void works. You will confidently diagnose repairs over the phone, pre and post inspect works, schedule works to our in-house maintenance operatives and external contractors. You will monitor our stock of equipment, components, machinery and furniture. You will also seek, assess and process quotations for works and component replacement ensuring value for money. You will check maintenance invoices and pass to our Finance team for payment.

As part of your role you will also cover and support the housing management, leasehold management, letting and sales service to our customers and residents as directed by the Housing Officer.

Human Resources and Corporate Services Manager

Location – BR4 9QD (with a 4:1 office: flexible working option)

Glebe is looking for a HR and Corporate Services Manager to join our team and oversee all aspects of human resources management and our busy site based office Your role will be crucial in attracting, retaining, and developing talent while maintaining a positive and motivating work culture. As the HR professional, you will bring best practice to Glebe, using your experience gained over a wide variety of roles to ensure we are delivering for and with our people. It’s a great place to work; we want you to help us make it even better.    On the corporate services side, you will lead a high quality reception service to our residents, coordinate and support meetings and events and ensure the smooth running of our site based office.   

We are a small busy hands-on team and are looking for someone who has the skills and ability to hit the ground running. If you can demonstrate you have the skills and experience for this role we would like to hear from you.

Volunteering

If you have some time to spare to make a positive difference to an older persons life, we would like to hear from you. Please register your interest here.

Our volunteers provide a range of services including driving our resident mini bus service to West Wickham shops, maintaining flower beds, assisting with the running of our community shop, providing entertainment, assisting at coffee mornings, helping with social events and assisting with fundraising.

We currently need volunteer mini bus drivers to collect our residents and take them to and from West Wickham high street. If you have the time to drive one morning a week please contact our HR department on 02028 777 1122. You will need to have a clean driving licence, supply character references and be willing to undergo a DBS check.

Any amount of time, no matter how small can help out enormously and have a great benefit to our residents.
