Experienced Activities Lifestyle Co-ordinator

Full and part time will be considered you will be require to deliver some activities at weekends.

We are looking for somebody with previous experience in delivering meaningful planned activities but who has a kind and empathetic nature with a natural flare to engage and motivate people.

The role will include helping our residents to maintain as active and independent lives as possible through the creation and delivery of meaningful activities, based on their interests, abilities and life experiences which in turn helps to improve their general health and well-being.

ABOUT YOU:

As our Activities Lifestyle Coordinator it is essential that you have previous experience and ability to plan and provide a suitable range of activity opportunities for all of our residents.

Your previous Activities Coordinator experience and skills will give you the ability to design, plan, run and facilitate group and individual activities which is an essential part of the role, as is utilising the care plan to ensure that activities meet individual resident’s needs and updating our electronic care plans daily with activities offered and individuals participation.

You will be responsible for maintaining and promoting activities that our residents will enjoy but that will also be stimulating to them. We require you to promote activities within the home community encouraging family and friends if appropriate to become involved.

You will have proven experience of working within a care setting in an Activities role, along with holding a relevant qualification for example QCF Level 2 award in Supporting Activity Provision in Social Care which is a minimum requirement for this position or similar qualification.

You will be able to evidence that you have great activities planning, organisational and IT skills and that you are able to manage your own workload.

You will need to have excellent customer service and team working skills, be outgoing and confident in working with and alongside colleagues and on your own to deliver a varied monthly activities programme as well as planning and organising social events throughout the year.

For the right candidate we are offering up to £10.50 ph. Dependent on qualification, interview and assessment.

RGN STAFF NURSE

Full time & Part time with an excellent hourly rate of £18.50 ph you must be able to work flexible shift days and night cross the full weekly rolling rota to meet the needs of the home.

As a Nurse within our Nursing Home, you will use your leadership skills to make sure our residents get the highest quality care we are known for.

This is a hands-on clinical role that creates a safe and supportive environment for our residents with a range of needs. You’ll use your professional judgement to make critical clinical decisions, from assessing the needs of a new resident to implementing safeguarding policies and administrating medicines in line with NMC regulations.

ABOUT YOU – To join us as a RGN Nurse, you will need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC registration. Experience of setting up and updating care plans and include risk assessments, it is important that you have up-to-date knowledge on the most recent clinical practices. We’ll also look for an understanding of regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.

To lead your shift with support of our care assistants you will be a natural leader and problem solver who has worked with older people within a nursing home setting. You need to be dedicated, ambitious and resilient, you’ll have a strong track record of delivering improvements to achieve quality care.

We have a vacancy is for Experienced Care Assistant £10.50 ph

We provide specialist nursing care for people with a wide range of medical needs such as the elderly, people suffering from dementia and those needing end of life care. Glebe Courts is an integral part of Glebe Housing Association’s housing, support and care complex in the grounds of Bencurtis Park.

We are looking for a dedicated, warm-hearted experienced Care Assistant to work in our care home. This incredibly special role will see you supporting the team in providing dedicated, expert care to residents of all ages and abilities.

That will mean everything from supporting with personal care, making beds to ensuring each of our residents has meaningful one-to-one time with a member of staff. Above all, you’ll perform any duty necessary to help our residents maintain not only their dignity, but also their independence and well-being.

A crucial part of the role will be implementing each resident person-centred care plan, by recording observations, including weight, temperature, pulse, blood pressure, nutrition, tissue viability and liquid intake. A willingness to learn and develop your skills in this area is essential, as well as having excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The ideal candidate for this role will have knowledge of caring for the elderly and vulnerable we will support you with ongoing training and development and you will complete and through induction program However as we cannot teach compassion you must posses this as this is an essential requirement for the role.

We are looking for experienced Care Assistants with a level 2 NVQ in Health and Social care or above, it would be advantageous to possessing a Grade ‘C’ or above in both GCSE English and Maths.
